PHI PHI ISLAND, VERY BEAUTIFUL
RECOMMENDED MINIMUM 3 DAYS TO TURN THE
ISLAND (EAST COAST , NUI BAY ) AND SEE
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BEACHES (LONG BEACH, LO DALUM BAY) AND PHI PHI VIEW POINT.
TO ENTER IN PHI PHI ISLAND YOU MUST PAY A
TAX OF 20 BATH / PERSON
Ton
Sai Bay pier
Where you take the Ao Nang Princess ferry to go to Krabi (you
arrive at the Ao Nang Pier).
Ao Nang Princess |
Ton
Sai Bay
Starting point to go to see the beaches of the east coast of Phi
Phi islandd (Tong beach,
Ba Kao beach , Rantee beach, Moo Dee beach , Long beach). Private longtail boat can be rented for a certain number of hours.
The cost varies according to hours. (for example 3 h 1400 BATH, 4 h 1700 BATH, to
book tickets recommended travel agency on the site located in front of the Ice

Lo
Dalum Bay
In the morning beautiful bay, water with
shades of blue color. Bar, resort on the beach. You can easily put yourself on
the beach to sunbathe. There is also a resort on the beach that rents sunbeds.
Starting point to go to see Nui Bay,
Monkey beach ... Recommended to book your boat trip directly to the boatmen on
the beach (for example 2 hours, Nui bay,
1000 Bath).
Lo Dalum bay |
Lo Dalum bay |
Lo Dalum bay |
The land between the two bays (Ton Sai Bay
and Lo Dalum Bay) is occupied by resorts, guest houses, restaurants, shops. All
rebuilded after tsunami. Here it is recommended to have a hotel.
Nui
Bay
Take the private longtail boat from Lo Dalum Bay (1000 Bath about
2 hours). Book directly the boat trip to the boatman you find on the beach.
Recommended to go early in the morning (departure time 9h00 from Lo Dalum Bay because then it fills
up with people). Small but very nice bay. Water with shades of blue. Ideal for
snorkeling . Some say it's more beautiful than Maya Bay. Really very beautiful.
Unfortunately we can not say if more beautiful than Maya Bay because we have
not had the chance to go and see it (still closed and do not know when they
open it). There is nothing on this beach (no bars, no restaurants).

Maya
Bay
Unfortunately we haven’t seen Maya Bay
because it is still closed, they do not know when they open it to tourists.
Thong Beach **
The beach is on the long thin peninsula that juts
north of Phi Phi Don, facing Krabi province some 20
kilometres to the East. This beach is mostly very quiet, with a few longtail
boats coming and going through the day. They don't stay for long, and don't
disturb the peace very much. The
sand is fine and soft. The water is always clear here
Bakao beach ***
Palm trees on the beach.The
water blue turquoise and the sand fine and white. Here you can snorkel and
spend a wonderful day also if you don’t stay in the resort.
Rantee Beach ****
It is not a particularly
well-known beach on Koh Phi Phi and here you can find some peace and quiet away
from the chaos of the island . Water blue turquoise
and palm-trees and other trees on the beach.

Moo Dee Bay (Loh Moo Dee
in Thai) *****
A long white sand beach
bordered by emerald waters. Situated on the east coast of Koh Phi Phi Don, it
is the perfect escape from the crowd .Moo Dee Beach can be reached on foot from
Tonsai East along a 1km path starting behind Bay View Resort; and from the path
starting at the bottom of Phi Phi Viewpoint. A less tiring way to get there is
to hire a long-tail boat near Tonsai jetty, which will take you to Moo Dee in
about 15mn for a fee of 150/200 baht (you must test your bargaining skill). Moo
Dee Beach is really quiet and relaxing in the morning. The beach offers its
visitors pleasant snorkelling opportunities, mostly at both ends of the bay.
Long
Bay *
The most beautiful beach sea point is that
of the Viking Resort where you can also snorkel from the shore. Water with
shades of blue (I don’t recommend to stay in Viking resort because away from
the center and to reach the rooms there are paths, up and down…if you choose this hotel , when you
arrive at Ton Say bay pier , you should take a longtail boat to go to resort.
It is not possible to go by walk with baggages. Long Bay is what you see from
the Viking beach. It is a continuation of the sea (the same sea with shades of
blue) but is separated from the rocks and vegetation. For the most courageous
and athletic you can reach from the rocks, by sea, or on foot along a path (not
simple) in the vegetation (of course wear comfortable/trekking shoes). Alternatively
you can reach with the longtail boat from Tonsai Bay (best solution for those
who do not love adventure).Long bay is a long stretch of white sand. Water with
shades of blue. Bars, restaurants and resorts on the beach. Some resorts have
sunbeds on the beach.
PHI
PHI VIEW POINT
Highest point of the island, Phi Phi Viewpoint is the place where
the whole population has to go in case of a tsunami warning. Everywhere in the
island, "Tsunami Evacuation Route" signs can be seen. Long and tiring route ,also steps, up
and down, but at the end a beautiful view on Phi Phi island. There is worth. It will take patience and courage. The
first part is also the most intense. You are
never tired of taking pictures of emerald waters of Loh Dalam and Ton Sai Bays.
There is a small bar at the Viewpoint, which sells soft drinks
and some snacks.
Entrance 30 bath /person

Magnificent and unspoiled east coast of
the island. A place with breathtaking views, white beaches and incredibly
crystalline sea. This part of the coast is accessible from Ton Sai Bay via
longtail boat or via a trek in the tropical forest. Here the few buildings
present are perfectly integrated into the surrounding landscape. I recommend to
rent a private longtail boat for 4 hours (1700 Bath) from a local agency
located in front of the Ice Bar.

Recommended Phi Phi Insula hotel in Phi Phi island
Great location, within walking distance from Tonsai Bay pier, Tonsai Bay and Lo Dalum
Bay. Surrounded by supermarkets, shops, bars, restaurants even if out of the
chaos of Phi Phi island. Recommended for those looking for a quiet room in a quiet area but in the center of Phi Phi
island near the pier. 3 floors without
elevator. At the entrance you are greeted by 3 big cats. Friendly and helpful
staff. Luggage storage service is also available. Absolutely recommended.
